Last weekend, I documented my first Bat Mitzvah... and I loved it.
I am a huge fan of celebrations... of taking time to honour someone for whom we care deeply.
Our children, are a reflection of who we are, of the love we offer, and they remind us everyday of what is truly important.
To honour them with a celebration with their closest friends and family... is precious.
Lauren is growing up. She is a beautiful young woman. Polite, grateful, joyful, sincere, giving, smart (her advanced math skills are keeping her parents busy)... and on saturday all of Lauren's family and friends came together at Centro to celebrate this time in her life as she transitions from a child to an adult.
I am so excited to witness this lovely lady as she continues on her life journey.
Lauren, congratulations on who you are today... and who you are becoming.

My wonderful friend and kick a** Second Photographer, Melanie, is getting married to her sweet Glenn this March. I am delighted to be Melanie's wedding photographer. To give back to her all of the love she has given to me and my company since it's beginning 4 years ago. I am a little chocked up actually... I hope I don't cry too much during the big day!
The three of us went out a week ago to get a few photographs of them in their neighborhood. A little pre-wedding shoot to get warmed up (I highly recommend an Engagement Session for all of my clients... it's so important to feel comfortable in front of the camera and with each other in order to get beautiful images).

it is hard to believe how fast they grow. but grow they do. here is our young man at almost 8 weeks!

have i told you lately how much i love you?
i feel incredibly honoured to have my job. we often get overwhelmed by life and all it's responsibilities, but truly we are blessed. blessed to live in a beautiful country, with more freedoms than most on this earth.
today i feel grateful.
i work with people who are in love. who transform their love and build families.

last week i had the honour of photographing Anne Sportun and her beautiful children, and lovely husband. do you know anne? she designs exquisite everyday jewelry. visit her breathtaking designs here. i wear anne's rings on my left hand. my wedding band was designed and hand crafted in her studio. wedding keepsakes i treasure most are my ring, and my photographs. i will wear my ring (now rings), holding my amazing husbands hand until i turn to dust. my photographs will be cherished by my children and their children forever, reminding them of their story, of where they came from, and of why they are here.
