Once a year High Park is abloom with white cottony goodness. For a sliver of April these beautiful Cherry Blossoms come alive and attract hundreds of visitors.
Last friday I had the pleasure of walking through this white wonderland with the beautiful Katie and her sweet handsome Matthew. I share with you today a lovely portrait of this couple under the Cherry Blossoms.
I could lay for hours under these pillows of cotton candy listening to All is Full of Love by Bjork. Years ago at summer camp I would lay on the front lawn watching the white puffy clouds move slowly through the bright blue sky with that song on repeat.
All is full of love. Can you feel it?

My wonderful friend and kick a** Second Photographer, Melanie, is getting married to her sweet Glenn this March. I am delighted to be Melanie's wedding photographer. To give back to her all of the love she has given to me and my company since it's beginning 4 years ago. I am a little chocked up actually... I hope I don't cry too much during the big day!
The three of us went out a week ago to get a few photographs of them in their neighborhood. A little pre-wedding shoot to get warmed up (I highly recommend an Engagement Session for all of my clients... it's so important to feel comfortable in front of the camera and with each other in order to get beautiful images).

just over a week ago, the lovely folks who help me over here at RWP met-up at the studio for a pre-season inspiration night. to end the evening we went out to photograph a sweet couple we know. here is a shot i captured from our outing.

i LOVE engagement shoots. why???
what lovely opportunity to get to know each other. practice makes perfect, right?
having the opportunity to work together before the big day is so important. it allows me a chance to find out what makes you laugh, what makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera... and what makes you squirm! so that i know what approach to take on the big day to ensure beautiful portraits.
engagement shoots are also wonderful because you walk away with a beautiful collection of casual images of yourselves. not everyone wants to fill their home with big fancy bridal portraits... but engagement portraits are much more casual and look great all over the house.
we are offering custom guestbooks this year, which have been very popular. check out some images here.
and now for some pics of our beautiful couple...
